If you want to talk about stupid government regulations, we can do that. I'd likely agree with you.
If you want to talk about how the electric car companies lie in their advertising, we can do that. The electricity comes from somewhere, probably a coal-fired plant.
It doesn't make sense that on-road and off-road vehicles are subject to different emissions rules.
That doesn't change the fact that you think that the off-road rules should apply to your on-road vehicle, and they don't.
Saying that you burn less fuel means less pollution is simply incorrect. I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt by assuming that you don't actually know what comes out of the exhaust manifold, and what is, or isn't, pollution.
Saying you don't care how your actions affect the rest of us is just plain antisocial.
What I do know is how hard it was to breathe in the Los Angeles Basin in the 1960's, and how much easier it is to breathe now, even on the smoggiest days.
I'll even agree that one dirty car won't make a difference, even on the worst possible days, but if enough people have your lousy attitude it'll make a huge difference.
I'm not even really addressing you: I'm addressing the people who read your claim that you're helping the environment, when all you're really doing is trying to justify your actions with unfounded statements.
If you'd like to continue the discussion, I'm retired. I have time.
