I got a golf cheap off someone that had a broken O2 sensor that I've since swapped.
Buddy said he swapped the throttle body and pedal and the car has no throttle response. VCDS shows sensor issues with the pedal. I tried a spare pedal he gave with but same codes. So I think it's a ecu issue. He also had a ecu from same model car but can't test it due to immobilizer.

Car starts fine just has no throttle response when pushing pedal.

One of the 3 codes was 18047 (don't have other with atm)

Did you read this from the Ross Tech wiki?
18047/P1639
Especially the last note.
I seriously doubt it's your ECU. Rule out the dumb stuff first.
I have read that and it shows ecm could be a possible cause. I used vcds to measure block codes for pedal and nothing changed as pedal was pressed or depressed. O2 sensor was just changed as the old one ripped off. I assumed the o2 wires got shorted and fried part of ecu but unsure how to rule it out 100%
