I keep leaning on this part on the top of the engine near the drivers side and have broken and glued on the nipple twice. Would like to replace it with a good part if someone has one laying around.

If you are not willing to buy a new ‘brake booster vacuum pipe with check valve’, I can’t blame you! $120+ is pretty outrageous for a stupid vacuum line, your best chance is your nearest salvage yard. Something like this would be pennies on the dollar compared to new. Expect to pay $25 and up plus tax. If you’re lucky and have to “pull it yourself” you can shop around and find the low mile salvage car.

Note: I rec'd a PM from a GrilishPeller who claimed his brother had one and gave me an email. I sent the email, but had some red flags popping up in my mind. Seller says he has the part, new for $100 shipped and way to eager to make the sale. I said that was more than I wanted to spend, so he cut the price in half. I dug a little more. The member above had joined this site just hours prior to messaging me, the picture "the brother" sent me was about 5 down on the list of google images and came from a site in Poland. And he keeps hounding me about making the sale. Beware! Scammers are everywhere!

For piece of mind, my local Salvage yard sold me, 2009 VW Jetta: left curtain air bag, two whole doors (minus the inside panels) and a leather drivers seat with airbags for $500.00.
I felt like I robbed the place! So you can get a good deal at some salvage yards.

New seats would be sweet! Drivers side is starting to crack. I saw someone put CC seats in a Jetta. That would be nice, but probably harder to track down.
I reported the member, but I don't know how often these folks are purged. I did tell the brother that I had a friend local to him that wanted to come see the part. We shall see if he starts back pedaling.

I looked up the name and it’s gone, not in the directory. So the moderator may have gave them the old boot.
