IMO, if you can find one that isn't a rustbucket, not worth it. I like working on cars but I like the end result to be a car, not a toy. Compared to a modern car, slow, not very safe, worse range and fuel economy, hard to find parts. It'd be cool to have an antique car but they aren't practical other than as a toy. Since the cars are about 30 years old by now, IMO more than old enough to get antique car plates so I think that qualifies as an old car.
