Water ingress settlement from sunroof drains

I got a piece of paper to add to the owner's manual that says to open the sunroof and check the front water drains and clean if necessary every 40,000 miles or 2 years, whichever occurs first. For 98-05 Passat, to remove the plenum panel to check the water drains and clean if necessary.

It's from a class action suit that will reimburse you if you had damages from water. Otherwise you get this nice piece of paper.

There's been an article on how to clean your sunroof drains as this has been a known common problem amongst people who work on VWs. The official recommendation will be added. There's also notes on how to repair a broken drain line in the article: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q_how_to/multi/sunroofdrain.htm
