Water Damage in Passat

Hello guys. I am new to the forum and have just bought my second Volkswagen; a 2000 Passat v6 wagon. I have a little problem I hope someone or several of you could help me solve. The Passat I have has had water come into the car just over the bottom part of the seat. Engine looks good and has no water but the leather seats are shot. I was wondering if anyone has any experience or advice about what electrical components I should expect to replace. This is really too nice of a car to send to the parts yard and I would like to try and save it. If anyone has any advice, opinions or a useful comment, please share. Thank you.

Exactly how high? The entire car was submerged in water or it rained and the interior got wet?

You have to pull up the carpeting and dry it out underneath or else it will mold and rust all the grounds. There's a computer box under each front seat - one for the CCM and one for the auto transmission and a number of grounds. Here's how to inspect some of them. http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q_how_to/b5/comfortmoduleFseat.htm

The seats are easy bolt out and replace.
