vwtdi camshaft

I have 2005 vwjetta with bad camshaft, is there any recourse to vw replacing it for free, it has only 182,000 miles. Only two lobes are worn but very serverly, so it appears to be a metallurgical problem rather than lubrication. It is also running rought, like not on all cylinders, and made a noise briefly, tha tha tha tha tha tha and then went away.

Good luck, VW doesn't even say there's a problem. Ask the dealer, maybe they'll work with you on the price though.
