Light weight is key to a hybrid. Another reason why the rabbit hybrid should have been killed off is because it would have been a tank. If they released a tank of a hybrid and advertised it as a fuel sipper, for $30,000, IMO, they would have lost a lot of sales to the prius. Remember, the next gen prius would be out by the time the rabbit hybrid is released.
