After carying out maintenance on the car I've been unable to reset the trip indicator and the maintenance indicator. service indicator comes on every time I turn the ignition on and then dissapears after a short time.
I just completed the 40,000 mile maintainance on my 2009 Jetta TDi. I ahd the service indicator screaming at me to "Service NOW". Here is what I found on-line about resetting it. With the key OFF, press and hold the trip meter rest button (0.0). Turn the key to the ON position without starting and release the trip meter reset button. then press and release the "MIN" button for the clock. The indicator light should go off and display the normal features. This worked for me, hopefully this may help you. Good luck.
