Is this more or less likely than the Honda diesel
Volvo remains on track to introduce a new range of engines to its 2013 line-up.
The company will launch new downsized petrol and cleaner diesel engines, although remains unsure if its black-pump versions will make it to the US market.
Volvo CEO Stefan Jacoby said, “We are taking a deep look at whether we will introduce the diesels to the US.†But according to Jacoby, “We haven’t decided yet.â€
The introduction of diesels could see company sales boosted, although, “We are at the bottom, but looking up,†he added.
Volvo has recently ungraded its engines for the company's 2011-model year range, including the new 2.0-litre, five-cylinder diesel engine that replaced the old 133bhp four-cylinder unit. A new 113bhp 1.6-litre diesel, badged D2, is also fitted to the C30, S40 and V50.
