Volkswagen parts clearance!

Got word of this on the Vortex....

The rear shelf storage unit for the Golf 5 and Golf 6 (part fits both vehicles) is on nationwide CLEARANCE through your VW/Audi parts dept for about $30.00 and originally was over $200.00. Found the part 1K0 061 178 A at www.magauto.com for even less, $22.00 bucks!

Get em while they last because once they sell out they will be gone.

Do you have a link to the magauto.com price? I tried looking, but they're all listed at the regular price.

You have to do the part number look up to get the lower price. Seems like they haven't updated their online accessory portion of the site yet.

Hope this helps! :)
Ok, found it, order placed! Awesome deal!!! If you go to http://www.vwdiscountparts.com it's $21.23. Thanks for the info, that deal was too good to pass up!

Awesome! How much did they charge you for shipping?
Why does the VW driver gear site at
http://www.cmgestore.com/vw08/SkuGrpListVW08A12.asp list the item with part number 1K61178A (STORAGE TRAY $189.43)? I can't find an image for part number 1K0061178A, all I see is it is labeled as a SHELF for $22.62. I doubt they are the same thing, I don't see how one can be $160 more than the other if they are the same.
Here's a listing with better pictures (looks like it has rubberized liners in the pockets):

The shelf on sale is the same part number as the regular priced one, except that so far it's listed with the lower price under the parts catalog, not accessories. Plus, it seems like the same shelf (same part number) is listed as fitting a bunch of different vw models. I'll let you know when I get it in a week or so.
Ok, if anybody has had their eye on that Golf Ball GTI Shift Knob (part number 1K0064285G), it's also on sale ($21.23 at http://www.vwdiscountparts.com/ ). Maybe there are some other parts with that same price. Anyways, it's a huge discount.
Ordered mine; $31.03 with SH from vwdiscountparts.com/
delivered to WA State.
no more available at either location
True for both www.magauto.com and www.vwdisountparts.com (I wonder if they are really the same place, their web ordering interfaces are identical).

You might want to try the www.ecstuning.com site. I tried them this morning but haven't yet received any confirmation if it is in stock or not.
I JUST picked it up on magauto for $32 shipped 5 mins ago.

That's weird I just got message from them that the item is obsolete and no longer available. That was yesterday.
I got the obsolete message from vwdiscountparts.com, so I put it my order through ecstuning.com instead. It should ship later today (I should be in bed).
Yup, www.vwdiscountparts.com canceled my order also. I looked at ecstuning.com but $32 for shipping (no cheaper option for shipping method/speed. I ordered on magauto.com for $32.62 shipped.

Edit 5 minutes later:

Canceled at www.magauto.com "We regret to inform you that the following item is currently unavailable: Volkswagen of America has put this item as discountinued."

Redit 10 minutes later:

Decided to order at www.ecstuning.com despite the steep shipping. Sixty bucks shipped is still way under the original cost. Lets see if they cancel it on me also hehe.
Right now ecs says that the order gets shipped tomorrow. I'll post here if they do ship.

My order says "Product Inbound" (not sure what that's supposed to me exactly, is it inbound to me or inbound to ECS). My shipping (UPS ground) is just $16.50.
I think that just means that it's on its way to them, and they should ship it to you once they have the part.
I now see ECS Tuning has updated my order Status = Received. Hopefully it will show delivered soon.
