Hi - I have an 03 galaxy with the same code. The galaxy has the 115 bhp 1.9 TDI. Yes, it is a VW engined ford. The symptoms are it goes into limp mode shortly after starting. Stop and restart will always cure it and it wont happen agin on that trip. So far the fraud garage recommended chnaging the MAP, which i did, and it had no effect. I have just had the local garage switch the EGR and N75 solenoids for a test to see if it makes any difference. No repeat yet, but the mod was only done yesterday. What are you symptons steve? Check the vacuum lines and VNT actuator first, they are much cheaper. Take a look at this article http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/a4/VNT-wastegate-adjust.htm and isolate the problem.

If you isolate the problem to sticky vanes and don't feel like taking it apart, then you can buy a new turbo. No point in replacing the whole turbo if it only needs a new actuator.

RE: gra900, get error codes first. If EGR-N75 swap fixes it, you found the problem. Also check all vac lines, very common problem. See the limp mode FAQ article, it has more troubleshooting steps.
