Hi to all here. I have a 2000 Jetta TDI and was informed that I should be replacing the timing belt. I am not sure what this is all about and what it all involves. Could someone please tell me more about it. Thanks

Hello guys,

What do you suggest? Original cambelt kit or gates? Is there any other brand as good as these? I have heard that contis do fail some times?

Thanks

As long as it's an OEM quality belt you shouldn't have a problem . As conti and gates are both well known belts. Conti makes many timing belts for VW.
