has anybody ever done a timing belt on a 2006 jetta is it a bad job to do do you realli need to drop the engine on one side

Read away... Just make sure to use good quality parts and the proper lockdown tools...

PS: do replace ALL the parts in the timing belt pathway - including the water pump... see idparts.com boraparts.com metalmanparts.com dieselgeek.com for parts kits...


PPS: I just noticed your location... Shetland??? Somehow I didn't associate your UserName with Scotland... The engine models you get there would be different from what I linked...
