Hello,

Would anyone know of a substitute for the belt tensioner wrench? If not, where might I find the wrench (and all tools) for replacing and/or changing out timing belt pulleys/tensioner? I suspect Advance/Auto Zone doesn't have it.

Adjustable spanner wrench could substitute it. I rent the tool kit upon request, send a PM if interested. You won't find the special tools at autozone or whatnot. The IP pin could be substituted with any straight pin of the correct diameter. If you want to DIY tools the dimensions are in the writeup.

Some people have been known to use bent-nose pliers for the tensioner... It's awkward enough using the proper tool, so I imagine you really need to be very dexterous to get away with the pliers...

More important is to get a camshaft locking bar to make sure the camshaft is locked in the correct position...
