Hi I’ve just changed timing belt all idler pulleys and water pump.Restarted car and it’s come up with p1600 camshaft crankshaft alignment fault.Done 200-300 miles in it and starts first time any ideas what I’ve done ?Gates kit ,water pump and sensor were different to oem one?

Do you mean p0016?

Recheck your timing if that’s the case

Wiki pages have been restored as of 7th December, I asked where is the link it should be on top of the main forum.

What was P1600 scanned with as it doesn't relate to the component you say, as asked?

Recheck the timing belt if it only showed since then?

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.
