I recently purchased an 04 Passat with the BHW in it and 127000 miles. My dealer inspected it and told me that the timing belt was frayed and really needed to be replaced soon. I asked him to save the parts and when I looked at them, they looked essentially new. I saw in the newbie timing belt post that there is a date code on the tensioner. There are some numbers on mine but I don't know how to interpret them. Also there is what appears to be a long serial number or code of some kind stamped into the perimeter of the belt. Can anyone help with this?

Thank you so much for the replies. Here are photos of both sides of the tensioner and a side view of the roller. There are numbers embossed in what appears to be the back stamping 038 109 243M and on the front there is a small stamped 064E2 in the recess above the center piece.
