The excellent piece on camshaft removal/replacement - it all worked a treat on my 2.0 TDi PD to the point of torquing down the bearing caps. Haven't had this car long. But the camshaft is quite stiff - I hit the caps with a (smallish)hammer via a wooden block and there is no change. I can see several bearings with bright marks where it is binding. The old bearings were worn on the lower side mostly at either ends of the motor where the aluminium journal is thin. Wondering what my next step is.
