Theft activation warning stays on

I have a 2005 Jetta (BEW) with 180,000 miles. After a heavy rain recently the interior was quite wet and the car would start for about a second or 2 then shut off. There is a glow plug light indicator flashing as well as the theft activation light that flashes. Glow plug 2 and 4 codes come up on a scan tool. Any ideas?? Thanks for any help-Steve

Sounds like a ground issue. Check the condition of your main engine/battery grounds.
