Hi guys! I recently purchased a 2004 Jetta TDI and I love it. The previous owner haven't changed the timing belt yet because he thought that it had a chain. LOL. With 155,000 miles on it, I drove it home carefully and started to work on the timing belt. Well, I was doing the belt change and got stuck. So I found this site and it has really helped me out. I just want to say hi and thanks to everyone for having this wonderful site.

No problem, I rent the special timing belt tools upon request if interested, let me know by PM. You can substitute VW's pin with a pin of the correct diameter but the crankshaft lock is special and you really can't substitute using a special too there.
