Does VW have a bigger battery for the TDI. My stock one is not working at below 0 temp. It is a 000 915 105 DE 12V 61Ah 330A DIN 540A. It looks like there is room for a bigger one. I see a 2nd threaded clamping hole for a 1.5" longer battery. My old 03 wagon was a 81AH

Thanks Keithuk My twin brother has a 2014 TDI Jetta wagon. His Battery is a 5K0 915 105G 12v 72Ah 380A DIN 640A. Had him measure it and it is 11" long and mine is only 9.5" So I might get one of those.

I put the big battery from my 09 (that was just 9 months old) in my MY15 that i got with 80 miles on it. The new style battery tray is pretty neat with how it takes 3 different sizes of batteries.

Once you out the new battery in, you'll want to (it's not optional unless you put exact same battery in and if that was the case, we wouldn't be talking about this ) adjust the settings per the link Keith posted above.
