Well, I just spent almost two weeks trying to get my TDI going. I gave up and sent it to a shop, it should be running and limping along tomorrow. Now I have to repair it unless I want to pay them to clean the intake manifold and EGR. I thought I eliminated that on the first day of diagnosis, I was wrong.

I have many years experience with cars (VW 1.8 litre gas (water cooled) and 2 litre (air cooled) primarily). This is my first TDI (2002 1.9 litre ALH), it is a tough lesson to swallow.

I hope to be able to contribute to others soon.

Hi bud, welcometomyturbodies. The cleaning job isn't to bad, just takes a bit of time. What other things are wrong or was it just not going? What did or are the garage doing to get it going?:)
