I have a Panzer plate on my Golf. I just didn't notice much increase in engine noise, or road noise, at all. The only noises it makes are these wonderful scraping sounds when it rides over boulders on jeep roads.

Hi everybody,
before I install my panzer plate I was thinking to stick some tar roofing felt roll material on top of the plate for noise reduction. Would that be a good idea? If not what do you recommend?

It's the thick aluminium skid plate offered by online vendor DieselGeek:What are you calling the Panzer plate is that the Splash Shield?

Just an essential upgrade if one should endeavour to travel on other than flat surfaces.
