I saw OEM plus's GTI bumper conversion kit but they didn't mention that the fenders are too short. Someone from http://minkara.carview.co.jp/ did it and the pics made their way to autoguide. The bumper conversino was on a 2009 Sportwagen but used the Golf R instead of the GTI bumper.

The first mods were suspension and bumpers, big brake kit, dual exhaust, wheels, and fender flares.

Here you can see that the fenders didn't line up all the way up the windshield pillar.

But wait, there's more! He also debadged the grille. This required bumper work as well.
