Hi all I'm about to go look at and possbly buy my first 00 golf tdi. It has the manual tranny, 85,000miles . The guy I'm buying it from bought it in Canada so it's in KPH. My question is there a way to make it MPH for use in North America?

Couldn't you just change the actual speedo face, the part with the readings on it? That'll be the only thing different I would've thought. I know they come apart because I've taken one apart before for some other reason but can't remember why at the mo.:)

Not without changing the speedo face as Niel says. There is an option in the MFD menus to display KPH but I think thats only the digital readout.

If it were me, i'd do the conversions from kph to mph of the most popular speeds ie. ( 15, 30, 45, 55, 70) and just mark them on the dial lol
it'd be cheap and easy

but thats only if you wanna do it the 'red green' way
