Chris at VW Langhorne specializes in online TDI sales and they racked up enough sales to give a bigger discount! If this is what you want now is the time to buy. Hopefully a local dealer can match that.

Invoice is not really what the dealer pays. They have factory incentives. It appears that he has sold enough cars to qualify for the next lower pricing tier. I guarantee you that dealers don't try to sell cars at a loss!

OK, I did some searching and that does make sense. Still a good deal. You have to wonder what the true profit margin on the cars is at MSRP.

On large SUVs it was 7-10k per unit. Any wonder why GM and Ford glutted themselves on it? Porsche has about 5-10k per car and they have very high profit. For cheaper cars I doubt much over 1k per car profit. Dealers make money through maintenance and other stuff.

Might pull the trigger on a similar deal here. Was planning on holding out for a MKVI Golf TDI but the danged MKV Jetta is such a good deal at that price I may have to do it now. Had driven a DSG and was thinking - eh, it's not bad. Drove a stick Jetta TDI today and it's basically what I want (well, assuming we don't get the GTD). Add Hella DynaHID's and LED tails plus make sure the stealership wires the BT correctly? I may have to get one tomorrow. Great motor BTW.
