Hi All,
Just found this forum as I'm looking for some help with regard to a problem that so far I've not been able to solve by visiting garages with diagnostic kit.
Essentially when the car is cold it starts fine but between 1500 and 2500 revs it sputters and has massively reduced power. The problem disappears when it warms up - typically within a couple of miles and I can also solve the problem using diesel additive (cleaner that also increases the cetane) but as soon as I run that tank through the problem reverts. Initially I thought it was a dodgy injector - but having taken it to a specialist in injectors they have said that they can't find anything wrong with them. I've also had the car serviced and air and fuel filters changed - neither of which did anything.
I've tried removing and cleaning the MAF sensor - but that didn't work (might try replacing it) but before I do I think I'm going to try an EGR clean...
Any tips would be much appreciated or if anyone else has experienced the problem and how you solved it I'd be mighty interested.
Many thanks,
Cooperman
