Well I'm new to the forum and have had the luxury of working on my wifes 2004 Jetta TDI, the one and only owner. I love the car but VW didn't make it the easiest vehicle to work on. I just replaced the manual tranny because the original decide it wanted to grenade itself but after 240K I guess it's not that bad.

Looking forward to reading the forums and getting help, helping other's that are having problems. This isn't my first turbo but is my first diesel so it has been a learning curve but all in all it hasn't been to bad. Now I'm in the process of fixing the dreaded 0299 Under Boost issue.

Not to bad, sticky vanes from lack of flooring it or maybe one of the boost pipes leaking, most commonly seems to be the connections on the Jetta.:)
