Thanks for the responses. The shop(a good one) thinks it is related to the carbon buildup of the device after the egr. So we are having that cleaned next week. To me tho', it seems to be fuel or air supply. It pulls strongly in 1st but when it hits 2000 rpm in 2nd it goes flat. I tried unplugging the MAF and it then lacks power but at least spins out rpm when accelerating. I intend to look over the mech's shoulder and going for a VCDS test drive with him. Will advise of the outcome. More thoughts?
