Hi, thinking of purchasing a 2011 jetta TDI with the new KESSY system - wondering if a remote Starter is available for this new start system. I've had a remote start on my 2001 jetta TDI for 10 years now and love the convenience (actually it's a necessity in my neck of the woods).

Try this test: sit inside the car with the doors locked for at least 10 minutes and the key in your pocket. Does the start button work? If so, I'll bet that it will work. However, since most remote starters mimick the key, if the car thinks the key is inside the car, will the doors lock? If not, you're out of luck. Does anyone know if the glow plug delay is automatic when you press the start key?

Does anyone know if the glow plug delay is automatic when you press the start key?

Glow plug delay is automatic on my 2011 Jetta TDI. I just hold it and it will start the engine AFTER the glow plug light is turned off.
