Hi guys/gals.

Now I know I made an intro when I first cames here a couple of months ago but I can't find it. So I'm going to bore you with my details again.

My name is Keith and I'm a 54 years young senior motor vehicle technician at a College. I've been driving and riding motorcycles for the past 37 years.

My current car is the 2010 Golf GTD, this will be the second VW I've owned. My father had a 1968 VW camper and when he died I was stuck for a motor so I used it for 4 years. Now I generally keep my cars for a long time. I had an 1985 Ford Escort XR3i 24k miles which was 2 years old when I bought it. I kept that for 7 years, 78k miles. Then I had a 1993 Rover 216 GTi 17k miles which was 9 months old when I bought it. I had it for 16 years and 68k miles. Now I would never think of buying a new car as you loose that must just taking them of the forecourt. Last year the government and the manufactures got together and they made the scrappage scheme which means you can trade your old motor in providing its 10 years old or more and buy a new car. So where else would you get £2000 for a 17 year old Rover.

Now I've have motorcycles since I was 10 years old. I sold my last bike 12 years ago it was a 1978 Suzuki GS750 (with a Yoshimura 850 kit with R&T cams) which I had from new. Everytime I go on holiday I always hire motor bikes rather that a car. I've always loved sporty bikes and cars but this is my first diesel that I've owned so time will tell.

Thanks for reading my boring intro again, here are a few pics. ;)

Something I've learned from autoblog is that most of their stuff is speculation and they have very little original content. They just copy stuff from other blogs and sites. They have a lot of fluff posts just to generate views because nothing controversial or exciting isn't going to generate much traffic.
