Doors that lock automatically are normal. You can reprogram it easily with a Ross tech VCDS to never auto lock or unlock when you remove the ignition key from the car. This used to be called vag com. This is a cable and software program to change settings. You must buy the HEX CAN cable since you have a 2006, the older cable cannot work. While it's expensive, it's an extremely useful tool and is required for many diagnostic functions and repair. You can also sell it with little depreciation since a used cable works exactly the same as a new cable. You can also adjust or access many other functions on the car.

Your other option is to go to the dealer and have them do it, it should only take literally, 15 minutes, but they normally charge for more time because they're a rip off.
