Hy. I am new in this forum. I have a jetta 1.9 tdi engine code AJM, from 2000.
I am attempt to change my timing belt, and i have few questions about this.
What means TDC?
BEW is a engine code?
Is this topic 'BEW engine timing belt part 1 removal (pumpe duse engine)' good for my ajm engine, is it about the same steps?
I am wondering because the topic about the pompe duse engines is writen for 2004-2006 pompe duse tdi. If that is not the same like my 2000 pompe duse, where can I find it for my engine?

TDC means top dead center. This is when the first piston is all the way up.

what about my other question: is the pompe duse engine from 2000 the same as pompe duse engine from 2004? I mean, is the timing the same, or it my be different the tensioner?

It should be very similar. I don't know what the AJM engine looks like but should be about the same. There only difference may be the tensioner and there's a video of the older PD engines in there as well.
