Hi I'm new to this forum and hope others can help with this question. I have a 2014 Chevy Cruze turbodiesel and recently my "poor quality" DEF indicator message came on with the associated notice to see owner's manual. The manual says the fluid has been indicated as bad and will begin the limp mode speed reduction.

Will draining the tank and refilling it help? I have been using Platinum DEF fluid but found it was inside the auto supply in the window with the sun beating down on it and I read that could break it down due to heat? I need this corrected so any input appreciated.

Thanks
