Hello, sorry for the keyboard error (Pleased).
I have been a diesel guy since my first in 2000, a Ford Excursion. Still have it at 305,000 something. The mods include ceramic coated pistons, head studs, reworked forged con rods, valve train "rev kit", ball bearing turbo, tuning, exhaust, trans, suspension, gages, water injection, and more. Last time dynoed it was 402 RWHP and close to 800 lbs ft of torque, and it is significantly higher now probably closer to 450/900. I typically cruise at 68 mph, and get mileage in the low 20's. I also have a 2002 Golf TDI which I drive when I don't need the Excursion. Presently it has 153,000 miles, and the typical basic mods like nozzles, tuning, 5th gear, exhaust, gages, etc. I am catching up on some service due including the clutch up-grade, timing belt and related parts, and turbo up-grade to a VNT17-22. While it is apart, I am having the starter and alternator rebuilt, along with replacing the idlers, tensioner, and accessory drive belt. I have been consulting the how-to's here and must say thank you for all that you have done and for putting it out there.
I could use help setting the timing from someone who has Vag Com in the Chicagoland area.
Regards, Dale
