So been having a few probs with the car being down on power -

I fitted a boost gauge on friday there and it turns out the car is boosting at about 12psi from 3.5k on and will hold boost even to 4.5k

Since its been down on power i havent been reving it hard to discover it still had boost that high up the rev range.

Before the boost guage went in i had
-Replaced the maf because with the old one unplugged the car seemed to be a bit better.
-Replaced the n75 and all vac lines
-Gutted out the cat
-Cleaned out the intake and removed the egr
-Cleaned the vnt mech

The actuator rod can be moved by hand although feels stiff due to the spring though not a sticky rod. and if I push the actuator up and cover were the vaccum line goes on it holds in the position ive pushed it too.

Only code on vag com was 00575

Any ideas ?

Here is what the ross tech wikis says: http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/00575

Do a boost leak test, see the FAQ. The lower intercooler hoses, the ones that go into the metal cross bar hose can rub through on the chassis ground wire. Also check the EGR regulation.

Get a vac pump-gauge and test the range that the actuator moves. I've never vac tested the actuator on this engine but if you report when it starts moving and when it's at full movement, I'll test mine and compare it. Even if it's not sticking and holds pressure it could be off.

Thanks for the Ross tech link me full code was the last one -

00575 - Intake Manifold Pressure: Control Difference
Possible Symptoms
Reduced Power
Possible Causes
Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75) defective
Hoses incorrect connected, disconnected, blocked or leaking
Possible Solutions
Check Solenoid Valve for Boost Pressure Control (N75)
Check Hoses

I'll have to try and get hold of a vacuum pump somewhere to test this thing.
