Still got this stupid fault code, P1162, fitted another new sensor and it's made no difference so must be a wiring thing. I've had a look and there's nothing obvious to see at all, no broken wires, nothing looking rubbed through, does anyone know which wire from the pump is the fuel temp sensor? I think I'll need to find that out then get a pin out diagram for the ecu and do a ohms test, see if the wire is actually connected or has an internal break:annoyed

Lol I couldn't resist using that smiley.:D

Well on a Seat Cordoba (99-02) 1,9D TDI 1999-02 Engine code: AGR the fuel temperature sensor B31 comes of the ecu at pins 53 (ge sw - yellow & black) and 76 (br bl - brown & blue) I've just trying to think of the Autodata colour codes I think those are right?

If you want a list of the component numbers let me know as its getting late?

Cheers Keith, I'll check those pins/wires and see what I can learn, I should be able to pull the plug for the pump and the two for the ecu then check continuity, I'll just try all the pins for the pump seeing as there's only ten or so.:)
