Hi all

I have a strange noise coming from the heater, that increases with fan speed.
It is more noticeable the higher the fan speed
Same layout as MK4 Golf

Any ideas

It could be a bad bearing in the ventilation fan. Is that what you mean? Or something caught in the vent like a leaf.

could be a leaf, as when i changed the pollen filter it was full of leaves.
How do i get to the heater

If it's like the golf, you remove the pollen filter under the windshield trim and use a vacuum cleaner to try to suck it out the way it came.
