Well I've finished my timing belt and valve job. I followed the directions on here and even rolled the engine over several times to make sure timing was good. There was no step in the procedure that I had much trouble with at all. It went pretty smooth.

Now I'm trying to start the car and it won't start. I broke the lines loose coming out of the injector pump going to the injectors and there is no fuel. I used my mighty vac and made sure there was fuel getting to the filter and it sucked fuel pretty quickly. I then took the input line off the injector pump and vacummed fuel into the short clear line. I hooked everything back up and tried to start again, nothing. I thought that I'd look into the tank pump and took the connector off and shot it with a meter. I'd think that as soon as I turn the key on I should get 12vdc, but I don't. I'm thinking this is my problem, but don't know exactly how the system works. Can you guys help me out?

There isn't a tank pump on them is there? I thought that was just the pd engines had that. Is it automatic? If not you could try giving it a tow, I had to do that with my tdi when it ran out of fuel. First though I would double check everything you've touched as it could be something really simple but if you're 100% sure it's all ok then yeh tow it.:)
