Welcome! 100k isn't that bad. My car is coming up on 100k and I think it rides worlds better than some of the other VW I've had w/higher miles w/stock suspension.

The brake bleeder cracked? The story? Maybe a warning in the brake bleeding FAQ article might help prevent what happened to you.
