Hey guys!
I am a new VW owner, this forum picked my curriosity since it seems to have many ressources and informations about MFD2 sat nav, which im trying to see if i can get to work 'ok' in my R32, before i go out and spend 1500+ on an RNS-510. :)

My R32 is far from a TDI, so i promise not to speak too much about it :)

I had the MFD2 and now have the RNS 510. Both navigate the same and both have never led me wrong.

The only functional difference I didn't like about the MFD2 is that you have to input the street name before the town. As a result, if you're going to yale street, it'll ask you if it's yale st, yale circle, yale square, yale boulevard, only one of which is right. If you get it wrong you have to go back and try again. The RNS 510 and RNS 315 have a more logical street input.

The RNS can play video DVD, which I used once just to test it, and never plan to again. The RNS has a hard drive to store music which is a big plus as well.
