I am new to VW and Diesel, I grew up with muscle cars but my wife needed a car that was going to last a while so we decided a Jetta TDI was the way to go. I just did an A/C job on it and now I am trying to educate myself for our upcoming drive fro So Cal to Indiana. Should be interesting.

I'd like to get an older rear wheel drive car and plonk a tdi engine in it, I've had some petrol/gas ones in the past but I didn't know as much back then so they ended up in the scrapyard.

i've put some small blocks in non-small block cars but no diesels sounds like it could be fun though.

Rear wheel drive and big torque? Too right it'd be fun lol. Actually one of my favourites was an old Mk1 toyota mr2, it was great fun and I reckon the tdi would've been a right laugh in that. Mind you I'd be facing the wrong way a lot lol

I too have always and still have muscle cars but in today's world use my VW as a daily driver. it's not nearly as fast but a lot better on the gas.
