About a three weeks ago I went to a VW dealership and bought a 2015 VW Passat SEL Premium with 54,000 miles on it. Love the car and how it feels to drive. When I brought it home four days ago I did not properly shut off the vehicle and the battery drained so I removed the battery and took it to Autozone to get charged up. Replaced the battery and the vehicle started up and I got a Low Voltage error on my OBD2 scanner. So I went for a short drive to see if it was just a kink in the system and when I merged onto the highway, roughly at 40MPH the car redlined and began overheating. I pulled over to the side of the highway to let it cool down and popped the hood. There was no leaks, steam, noises nothing to show any problem, raised the hood and everything looked and sounded fine, coolant was topped off and everything. Driving home the cars AC was cold, but then would blow warm for a short 5-10 seconds.

What is going on?
Thank you kindly!

P.S I will be taking the Passat to the dealership Thursday for repair.

Welcome to the forum.

Its nice to see you made an intro on your own. ;)

This is a new forum layout which is owned by a company 6 months ago that doesn't give a dam with loads of bugs which have been reported in the new thread. There is no TDI Wiki at the moment or original similes. It doesn't show the car spec/location.

We Are Live - Community Feedback

This has been talked about many times.

I've made a poll which no one has posted in, there are a few votes and comments.

Do you like the new forum features?

Wiki pages have been restored as of 7th December, I asked where is the link it should be on top of the main forum.

Whose ODB2 scanner?

You need to get your motor scanned (preferably with VAG-COM\VCDS) for any error codes logged in the ecu and post them, that will save a lot of guessing and check systems out.
