I have a 2006 Jetta TDI, and am psyched that I got into this car instead of it's gasoline brother. Dollar savings in fuel has been great over the last 5 years, 172k miles. Unfortunately I just wore out my camshaft which was disapointing as I thought "diesel engines" lived forever. Fortunately through these great websites on TDI's, I'm finding out about great low-cost part suppliers, which keep this type of repair affordable. Can't wait to read and learn more!

FYI, beware of prothe, rothenbacher engineering, hansdieselparts, or any other of this low quality and low cost part supplier. I bought from them once despite warnings and quickly found out the hard way. Let my lesson be everyone else's lesson.
