Just bought a 2011 "jetta sportwagon" and a 2011 Golf (for the wife). I drove a TDI Cup Edition and liked the suspension and I am finding the "sportwagon" less stable. I know there are probably many threads on this topic and I'll look. Wondering if VW stock GLI parts are the way to go or go to an aftermarket dealer. I drive mostly highway (60 miles a day) and don't want to give up too much comfort but would like a more solid feel. I think upgraded sway bars might be a good start.

Glad to be a member,

Try the rear sway bar. ECStuning sells many bolt on suspension parts. Stiffer struts shouldn't be too bad if you have 16" wheels. The question is, how would the wife feel about a bumpier ride!

For just a swaybar I'd go with the OEM parts. There are plenty of people who sell used parts off their car w/low miles but the sportwagen most likely has beefier rear springs and shocks due to the extra weight and capacity. That said, for struts I like koni reds.
