Hi Everyone,
I have a 2006 TDI Highline.
Am currently having problems with CEL, Cam sensor No signal P161D, and either glow plug or O2 sensor P3007.
Any help ideas or solutions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

P3007 is camshaft position signal. It's either bad wiring, bad sensor, or possibly camshaft pulley way out of spec. If you look at the timing belt article for brm engine in the mk5 faq you'lll see how the cam pulley sensor should be positioned. If it's way off it can throw a code. When was the last timing belt done?

You can also see the little knob mounted on the timing belt rear cover w/wire coming out. That's the sensor.
