I am the proud owner of a 2005 Passat TDI.with 100000 miles on it.Wondering if i should change tranny oil? & filter.

YES. The dealer will tell you that it's lifetime but yes you should change it. If you go too long without changing it and need to, it could cause the tranny to slip from the fresh oil. It's not too late!
