Hello everyone!

Great forum, just had to join since I managed to locate the problem with my limp home Audi. Actually managed to fix the stuck VNT actuator by removing the engine cover and using a 10 mm copper pipe to press down and get the rusty stuck actuator rod to move again. Good thing using the pipe is that I could spray WD40 down through the pipe and get the rod to move smoothly again.

Took it for a test drive and it really kicks now.

Thanks! Yes true it is a temporary fix, I could see using an inspection camera that the actuator rod was rusty going into the actuator and that will probably need replacing in future. Now I know where to start looking if the car starts going into limp home mode again :)
