Welcome! You get used to it One of my older TDI let you overfill the fuel tank, it held 26 gallons max so you could drive about 300 miles before the fuel gauge needle would budge:nana2:
Hi all: My first TDI, a 2003 rebuilt, in B.C., is going to save me a bundle. I commuted 1100 km a week in a Jeep YJ, over $700.00 monthly in fuel. I drove a TDI (at times at 220km/hr, legally) in Germany, still had some pedal left, snd was still being passed. Anyway, love the way it shifts, rides, handles. I'm going to perform the timing belt replacement myself. And Castrol Syntec oil. Oh, and occasionally, I run it on Jet fuel.
