Found this sight while surfing the web. NICE FIND!!!!! I have a 2006 VW Jetta TDI with a BRM engine. No mods so far but I'm looking at the fifth gear mod. and a possible chip. Live in Wayne Michigan but work out of Cleveland Ohio. Average over 30,000 miles /year.

Welcome! The gearing in the 2006 is lower than the earlier cars. You could also upsize the tires +1. There's a tire/wheel/gearing calculator here where you can input new gearing ratios or new tire sizes to see how it would effect rpm, speedometer, etc.

Also look through the new owner's checklist, you may find some interesting things there.
